If you are considering a countertop water purification system, then you probably have done some research and realize the the quality of bottled water and tap water leaves a lot to be desired.

The three key components that I have found to be very important are the following:

1) Unfortunately company’s tend to overstate the quality of their filtration system so I want a company that has gone through the tough standards of California. If they have a certifictae from California, that means they have met the toughest regulations of any state.

2) Secondly, I want a system that uses a dual filter system that has a combination of carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub micron filtration to produce truly healthy and great-tasting water.

3) Last but not least, I want a system that filters out chlorine, lead, prescription drugs, pharmaceuticals, VOCs, MTBE and cysts (chlorine-resistant parasites) and leaves in the natural trace minerals.

If you are considering a countertop system then you want something that is easy to install so that is an important requirement too.
